Remote Spanish Medical Interpreter, OPI and VRI

Summary

We are seeking qualified Spanish medical interpreters to provide remote interpretation services for healthcare communications. Interpreters will facilitate accurate and clear communication between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare professionals. Services are provided through Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI

Responsibilities

Interpret medical conversations accurately between English and Spanish. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Follow medical interpreting standards and professional guidelines. Provide interpretation through phone and video platforms. Remain impartial and professional during every interaction. Communicate clearly in both English and Spanish.

Minimum qualifications

Valid photo ID, such as a passport, government-issued ID, or driver's license. Medical interpreting training certificate with a minimum of 40 hours of training, such as Bridging the Gap or an equivalent program. HIPAA certificate. FWA certificate. Proof of English proficiency, such as EF SET, with a minimum score of 70. Proof of Spanish proficiency.

Preferred qualifications

Previous medical interpreting experience. Knowledge of medical terminology in English and Spanish. Strong listening and communication skills. Experience with remote interpretation platforms.
